A couple of days ago, I wrote to Crystal, at Money Saving Mom, about a new points-earning site I found and have been using to get free gift cards. In case you missed her post about it, I figured I should share with you all.
At DailyFeats, it is understood that progress tracking, ongoing motivation, and
rewards can really help people create healthy habits and meet goals,
especially when it comes to weight loss, nutrition and health. And you all know how I feel about goals.
You can sign-up completely free at www.dailyfeats.com. DailyFeats helps you do good things and share your accomplishments. It’ll guide you in doing small but significant actions, or “feats,” that add up to big positive change in
the world, all while you earn points you can use to treat yourself to
real-life rewards (including gift cards from national brands such as Amazon,
iTunes, Gaiam and SpaFinder and local savings right in your neighborhood!!). Oh, and Starbucks too! On second thought, maybe I better stay away from the Starbucks gift cards!
How does it work? Once you’ve registered at dailyfeats.com, whenever you’ve done a meaningful, positive action — like examining a nutritional label, working out, or taking a brisk walk after a stressful day — visit dailyfeats.com, and check-in that “feat”. You’ll earn points you can redeem for discounts and deals at neighborhood businesses or savings from national brands.
Each feat has a different point value depending on its level of difficulty. You can also participate in challenges to increase your points and help you earn rewards that much faster. There are feats in all sorts of categories, from food, fitness and health and also balance, family and community.
As a bonus, if you sign-up between now and August 31, 2011, you can receive 50 points using the following code, just for being a reader here at Fat Chick Fed Up. You are SO special! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
BONUS POINTS CODE: fatchickfedup50
Enter this code in the “promo code box” when you sign-up for a new account
for 50 bonus points to get you started!

I have signed up for this site, and I do find it surprisingly uplifting to get points for the normal everyday things that i do….however i can’t help but wonder if it is too easy to get these points for the rewards… what’s to stop someone from just collecting points to get the rewards?
I agree-it definitely could be abused. I would hope not, but you never know. That is probably why there is a limit on how many premium rewards you can get each month.
I thought the same thing when I signed up for the site a few weeks ago after hearing about it on another blog, but it does seem like it takes a lot of point to earn the premium rewards. I do find it motivating to find all the little things I do in a day adding up, though!
I thought the same thing, Val. I guess you’d just have to be comforted knowing you’re the kind of person who wouldn’t do that. Guess we’ll just have to pray for those who would do it, that they would be blessed in other ways. Maybe someone who would be dishonest on that site just to earn free stuff really needs it.??? Just a thought.

I like that thought, thank you Lori from Missouri. I will contiue using the site to help me better my life because it is great to have a reminder of some things
and hope that others do what they need to do too. thank you. val
I just earned enough to buy my first premium reward, and the Amazon card is no longer on the list! I got a Starbucks card instead, but for someone on a tight budget, earning Amazon dollars is practical–I use it for stuff I would buy anyway. Starbucks lattes are a nice perk, but not motvating enough for me as I am fine with brewing my own at home and saving dough that way.
I know! I saw that and was so bummed! I always choose amazon for my swagbucks and when I went to get my giftcard it wasn’t there anymore. I did get my Starbucks card in the mail today though, so it will be a nice little treat for the hubby and me before e goes to Florida! And I do have a weekness for Starbucks!
[...] A few weeks ago I shared a new site that I found that I have been using that rewards you for accomplishing different feats each day that are meant to improve your physical and mental health. I have been using Daily Feats for a couple of months now and received my first rewards card, a $10 Starbucks gift card, in the mail a couple of weeks ago. [...]
