This week’s weigh-in: 305 pounds
Can you say Aunt Flo? Don’t you all feel so privileged that I keep you up-to-date on my cycles?
I thought you might.
And in the famous words of Forrest Gump, “That’s all I have to say about that.”
By the way, I didn’t post this yesterday because I had not weighed in, but for the month of September I only lost a little over a pound. That makes me so sad. I lost and gained the same couple of pounds all month long.
Today is a new day though, and it’s time to step things up a notch. I’ve got a big surprise in store for you tomorrow that’s going to help me do just that.
The Chick Magnet weighed in this week at 253.6 this week. So he lost nearly 15 pounds during the month of September (and 2.6 pounds this week!). It’s almost embarrassing how much better he is at this than me! Not that I am competing or anything. Because I would never do that. Because I’m a good wife and I support and love my husband at all times.
Some of my non-scale victories (NSV) this week include:
- Wore a pair of pants to church today that I don’t think I will be able to wear again. I had to hold them up with one hand while carrying chicklet #4 up the stairs today because they were literally falling off of me.
Uh, yeah, that’s all I can think of.
That’s the truth.
How was your weigh-in this week? Any new goals for next week? Did you have any “YET” moments?
D0 you have a recommendation for a good scale? I’m in the market for one. I had to keep replacing the batteries in my old one (just bought a few months ago) every month and have replaced it with a cheapo rotary one. Would love to have a digital one, but want it to be reliable of course.
Suggestions?

My goals for this week are to track my food and get rid of my portion distortion! My weight is creeping up and I think it has to do with my portion sizes. I am also shooting for exercise 4 times this week. I am also going to try and recognize emotional eating and stop it- then journal about my feelings. I hope these few goals will help me lose a few pounds this month.
Sounds like a great list Jill! I am working very hard on the emotional eating right now. I haven’t shared much about that but I will be here very soon. That is the hardest part but I think I am finally making some headway on that front. You’ll have to keep me posted on how you do!
Hello! Love your blog! I have a Weight Watchers digital scale that I have been using for a very long time and I am very happy with it. It allows you to store data for up to four different users. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Wendy! Do you know where I could find that scale?
I got mine from Bed, Bath and Beyond. They always have either a $5.00 off coupon or a 20% off coupon available. I hope you find something.
Weight will fluctuate during the month for most women. For a NSV, tell yourself you’ve been on track (if you have) and that your efforts will show at the next weigh in. I could recommend suspenders to help you with your pants. I was like that when losing…it wouldn’t buy anything new. I had one belt that held up EVERYTHING!!
Hey Chick,
Just remember, even the people on the Biggest Loser stay the same once in a while… and they are at a private ranch with trainers!!! Keep your eyes on the prize.Hebrews 12:1-2 – Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us
No one can run the race of life in a month!!! It takes a lifetime to figure ourselves out, that way once we have it all figured out, God takes us HOME to be with Him and we are totally ready to enjoy being in His presence!!
