Whenever I need a pick me up, whenever the noises in my mind and often my home become what they shouldn’t, I love to sing the children’s songs, “I am a Child of God” and my children love “I am like a star”. They often sing with me and the mood in our home changes instantly and my mindset too. Just humming them can bring peace to my heart.

“I am a child of God and He has sent me here,
Has given me an earthly home with parents kind and dear.
Lead me, guide me, walk beside me help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do to live with Him someday.”

“I am a child of God and so my needs are great
Help me to understand his words before it grows to late.
Lead me, guide me, walk beside me help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do to live with Him someday.”

“I am a child of God, rich blessings are in store;
If I but learn to do his will, I’ll live with him once more.
Lead me, guide me, walk beside me help me find the way.

“I am like a star, shining brightly, shining for the whole world to see. I can do and say happy things each day, for I know, Heavenly Father loves me.”

You most definitely are a shining star and can do all things through Him that loves you. Thank you for your time and energy to share with me.

Dearest daughter…you humble me with your words of faith and conviction. I, too, have said and lived lies that were caused by my own lack of trust or belief in the world views of what a beautiful woman should be. I am so incredibly proud to call you my own. You have stated your innermost feelings and beliefs with utmost conviction and through the voice of the Holy Spirit as He leads you down new paths of righteousness. You truly are the epitome of beautiful to me, to your family, to your readers, and to your Heavenly Father. I look forward to reading your next “sermon”. You are pretty good at this, you know? I Love, Love, Love this post! Thank you so much for putting your fears aside and writing it. This is something that I struggle with on a regular basis and it does help to be reminded of these things.

Also, I absolutely love Beth Moore! She is so insightful and has the greatest gift of putting things in terms that even I can understand. =)
